A legende (pronounced lə-gɛn'-də) is a summary or exposition of doctrine, traditionally used in Bakhiranist religious teaching from Younger Kudhan times to the present. Legendes are doctrinal manuals often in the form of questions followed by answers to be memorized, a format that has been used non-religious or secular contexts as well. Another word for this is catechism.
